HAMPTONBURGH- Hamptonburgh Town Councilman Gregory Willems passed away on Monday, according to a statement released by town supervisor Robert Jankowski.
“With deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss for his family and friends, and the entire Town of Hamptonburgh, we regret to inform you of the tragic news that Hamptonburgh Councilman Gregory Willems passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024,” said Jankowski. “Greg was an incredible friend to so many. He was filled with energy, an open mind and heart, and a sense of duty and that influenced everything he did.”
Jankowski called the moment a tragic one for the community.
