Hippie enclave in Copenhagen wants to tear up street to thwart drug gangs: Report

A neighborhood in Copenhagen, Denmark, is planning to remove a street in an attempt to cut off illegal hash sales which have led to violent gang activity in the area, the Associated Press is reporting.

Residents of Christiana, long considered to be a “hippie enclave,” have requested volunteers help dig up Pusher Street on April 6. It is unknown what is meant to replace the street, the report said.
