The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Scipio Center resident after allegedly recording a child illegally.
Benjamin Tyrell, 36, was arrested for unlawful surveillance and endangering the welfare of a child after an investigation into an incident where he secretly recorded a child who was unaware and not dressed.
Tyrell was taken into custody and was released after arraignment.
He’s due back in Scipio Town Court at a later date.
