Social Security 2025 COLA increase: New projection released

The projected cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for Social Security benefits in 2025 indicates a decrease compared to previous years. Early projections suggest a significant decline from the 3.2% increase seen in the current year and a notable decrease from the 8.7% adjustment in the previous year.

According to The Senior Citizens League (TSCL), the projected increase for 2025 stands at 1.75%. This estimate is derived from the latest data from the January Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, which reported a 2.9% increase.
