An 82-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death inside her Long Island home by her husband, the Daily News is reporting.
Mary Heaton was found dead by Nassau County police around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, the report said.
Anthony Heaton, 74, who has been charged with second-degree murder, allegedly told police he could no longer deal with the stress of caring for his wife amid his own declining health issues, the report said.
Heaton allegedly confessed to the murder and calmly sat while police investigated, the report said.
