Erie County’s Maple Fest returns from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sugar Shack in the County Bureau of Forestry’s park at Genesee and Warner Gulf roads in East Concord.
The afternoon will include live music, a barbecue and tours of the sugar bush, sawmill and Sugar Shack.
The Bureau of Forestry produces about 300 gallons of maple syrup each year, and county-made syrup will be available for purchase.
Also available will be maple porter from 42North Brewing Co., made with Erie County maple syrup. 42North will bring its mobile taproom, the Tap Trekker.
Maple Fest will be the first event in Erie County’s 2024 Pints in the Park series. For more information, visit erie.gov/parks.
โMany people are surprised to see the operation of our sawmill and how maple syrup is produced at the Sugar Shack,” County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz said in announcing Maple Fest on Monday, “so this is a good opportunity to do that and enjoy food, music and tours.”
