STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 50-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man in his home community of Mariners Harbor on Saturday night.
Troy Hairston of Netherland Avenue stands accused in the assault that occurred around 7:45 p.m. on DeRuyter Place near Walker Street, where responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound in the thigh, according to a statement from the NYPD.
