A 79-year-old Corona man was beaten to death by his son during a domestic dispute at their home on Monday afternoon.
Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst responded to a 911 call of a dispute inside a home at 104-71 43rd Ave. three blocks south of Roosevelt Avenue where they found Leo MacBryde badly beaten by his 47-year-old son who lived at the house, police said.
EMS responded to the crime scene and rushed the wounded retiree to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short while later.
The 47-year-old man was taken to the 110th Precinct as a person of interest and he was held in custody after questioning.
The suspect’s name had not been released as of Tuesday afternoon and the charges are pending, an NYPD spokeswoman said. The homicide investigation remains ongoing.
