LIVINGSTON MANOR- Back-to-back gunpoint robberies in Livingston Manor have residents and business owners in the otherwise quiet community on edge. On Saturday the Sunoco gas station was robbed at gunpoint, and on Monday, a similar gunpoint robbery took place at the Dollar General.
At around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, a male wearing a blue jacket, grey sweatpants, gloves, white sneakers and a ski mask entered the Sunoco station. The suspect was armed with a handgun and took approximately $200. He fled from the gas station on foot.
On Monday morning around 9:30 a.m., there was another gunpoint robbery, this time at the Dollar General. The suspect was wearing all black and was concealing his face with a ski mask. Like in the first robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Since the robbery, workers at the Sunoco are locking the store’s door. Workers at the Dollar General also said they were concerned about the robber returning.
A State Police spokesperson at the Liberty barracks confirmed that investigators are actively working both robberies.
