Godsmack returning to Central NY for summer concert

Godsmack is returning to Central New York for a summer concert.

The rock / alt-metal band will perform at the Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y., on Sunday, July 21. Flat Back will open the show at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Presale tickets will be available Thursday, March 21, for TS Rewards Members.

Godsmack, led by singer-guitarist Sully Erna, formed in the Boston area in 1995 and has released eight albums, featuring hits like โ€œWhatever,โ€ โ€œVoodoo,โ€ โ€œBad Religion,โ€ โ€œAwake,โ€ โ€œCryinโ€™ Like a Bitch,โ€ โ€œ1000hp,โ€ โ€œWhen Legends Riseโ€ and the Grammy-nominated โ€œI Stand Alone.โ€

The hard rock group has performed in Central New York many times, most recently playing the St. Josephโ€™s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview (now the Empower FCU Amphitheater) with Staind and Mixmaster Mike last year. The Turning Stone is their only scheduled stop in the state this summer.
