Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo makes Opening Day promise after missing spring game with injury

TAMPA, Fla. — Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo was in good spirits as he spoke at Steinbrenner Field on Friday afternoon, welcoming a group of reporters over to his locker before he took off for the evening.

Rizzo recognized that being scratched from the lineup with a tight left lat would, as he put it, “ring some alarms,” but he’s certain that he’ll be just fine.
