A message for Neffy, found buried in her pajamas: ‘This was not your fault. You did not deserve this’

Syracuse, N.Y. — It was just after 11 a.m. today when they found Neffy. She was where her mother said she’d be, near the trees.

The little girl with big eyes and bouncy braids was wearing her pajamas, a blanket wrapped around her, under the dirt and snow in the field by the Brick School Terrace, an apartment complex on Salt Springs Road.
