Of the 44,644 citizens living in Delaware County in 2021, 83.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 37,225 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 18,867 were male, constituting 50.7%, and 18,358 were female, making up 49.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Delaware County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79%.
