The New York Mets (28-37) opened a six-game homestand on Tuesday night and fell 4-2 to the Miami Marlins (23-43) as the offense was rather silent.
Mark Vientos gave the Mets a 2-1 lead in the second with a two-run double, but other than that, New York had just four hits, two coming from Starling Marte.
Tylor Megill was charged with three of the four runs over 4.2 innings but did ring up eight strikeouts. Adam Ottavino gave up the other run in the ninth.
