Since the last season marked the best one since the start of the 21st century, New York Knicks fans are coming into the new NBA season with something they havenโt included in previous years โ hope. Hope that their team can step up and bring them the joy of achieving the latter stages and maybe, just maybe, pulling off an incredible upset. The previous season in which they won 50 games certainly gives them theย right to think so. It seems that theย Knicks finally look like a team, with players worthy of a call for an All-Star game, like Jalen Brunson. Therefore, every fanโs question is โ what can we expect from New York in theย new season?
Thibodeauโs Team Looks Good
Last seasonโs success is still a talking point in and around Madison Square Garden. Their efforts were rewarded by reaching the Conference Semifinals with the Indiana Pacers, which they lost in a close encounter after seven games. That was a result that every fan would agree to before the previous season started, considering that leading sites like Deadspin hadnโt considered them capable of achieving such aย result. Congratulations should go to the team, but also to head coach Tom Thibodeau who managed to create a cohesive and hard-working group of athletes. The core of the group is the Villanova Wildcats players, as, besides the All-Star Jalen Brunson, the Knicks brought in Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges. All of them were playing at Villanova University, together at some point, and they transferred their good chemistry and coherence to New York.
