A total of 94 student-athletes showed at 8:30 a.m. at Maimonides Park on Saturday for the 23rd annual PSAL Senior Fall Showcase. College baseball coaches, as well as professional scouts, were in attendance.
Fourteen Brooklynites were represented in the group. They included Kamar Brown, Prospect Heights Campus, right field; Kyle Chan, New Utrecht, shortstop; John Civiletti, Lafayette Educational Complex, third base; Rui Edelman, Midwood, pitcher; Pedro Gil Padilla, Fort Hamilton, pitcher; Cy Greenblatt, Fort Hamilton, pitcher, shortstop; Jostin Guzman Lopez, Canarsie, center field; Nico Harvey, Brooklyn Tech, pitcher; Jason McGill, New Utrecht, pitcher; John Memoli, Lafayette Educational Complex, first base; Antonio Moran, Midwood, shortstop; Aayan Ramamurthy, Brooklyn Tech, center field; Franciery Roque, Bushwick Campus, center field; and Jesus Toledo, Bushwick Campus, catcher.

The 20th Annual Junior Fall Showcase was also staged at Maimonides Park and included some of the finest junior baseball talent in the PSAL. The players were determined to demonstrate their ability to play baseball at the next level.
The showcase, which was held Saturday (Oct. 21), opened with speed in the 60-yard dash, as outfielder Jack Rosado of East Side Community High School recorded a 6.85 and outfielder Jonathan Stern of Bronx High School of Science followed in a time of 6.93.
Brooklynites who participated โ and their times โ included Midwoodโs Brandon Sanchez, 7.10; and Transit Techโs Angel Garcia, 7.22
The surprise on the pitching mound was two junior hurlers breaking the 80-mph threshold. Nicholas Kumbatovic of McKee/Staten Island Tech High School registered eighty-two mph.
He was followed by Herbert H. Lehman Campus right-hander Kevan Luciano at 80 mph. Brooklyn Techโs Jake Rapoport was clocked at 77 mph.
