A Bronx attorney has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl for sex, authorities said.
Tony Hyon Suh, 47, also known as Jason Suh, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in March for attempting to entice a 14-year-old girl for sex in 2022. Feds busted him during a sting operation after he communicated with an undercover agent—who pretended to be a teen.
“Tong Hyon Suh attempted to engage in predatory behavior with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old, showing a disturbing disregard for the safety and well-being of minors,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement. “This sentencing underscores our commitment to confronting threats to minors.”
According to court documents, Suh was contacted in April 2022 by a detective with the Greenwich Police Department who was posing as a 14-year-old girl named “Megan” via the social platform Kik.
During the communications, Suh identified himself as a 45-year-old Korean male living in New York City and indicated that he wanted to meet with “Megan” to have sex.
The undercover cop told Suh that she was a 14-year-old female from Connecticut.
During their communications, Suh said that he was attracted to teenage girls and “tbh on the down low I want a young submissive slut.”
He also asked “Megan” for some “slutty pics” that she could “delete after taking.”
During their communications, Suh made a plan to meet with “Megan” to engage in sexual activity with her. He told “Megan” that he would take a train to her house in Greenwich, Connecticut, and then they would travel together to a residence he would rent.
“Megan” requested that Suh bring condoms, lollipops and marijuana.
On May 27, 2022, Suh went to the address provided by “Megan,” where he was arrested. Suh’s briefcase contained a laptop computer, marijuana, toiletries, clothing, an unopened package of lollipops and six condoms.
In addition to the prison term,…
