Bronx teen turnstile jumper caught carrying gun, fourth time NYPD found loaded weapons on farebeaters in nine days

A teen caught jumping the turnstile at a Bronx subway station was carrying a gun — the fourth time cops have found loaded weapons on farebeaters in nine days, the NYPD said Wednesday.

Richard Patterson, 18, allegedly jumped a turnstile at the 170th St. No. 4 stop in Mount Eden about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday but was stopped by cops patrolling the station, authorities said.

The officers patted Patterson down, recovering a loaded .9-mm handgun, according to the NYPD.

Police charged Patterson with weapon possession and theft of services.

On Thursday, Shemuel Felipe, 25, was arrested with a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun after he was caught jumping the turnstile at the Beach 67th St. station in the Rockaways about 5:20 p.m., cops said.

It was his second gun arrest in eight months, police sources said. He was busted carrying a gun in Brooklyn on July 17 and was out on bail when he was arrested in the Rockaways. A judge ordered him held without bail following Thursday’s arrest.

A day earlier, cops caught a man with a loaded Ruger after he was spotted trying to squeeze his way past a turnstile at the Kingston/Throop Aves. station.

On Monday, MTA police caught a turnstile jumper with a loaded firearm at the Jamaica Center subway station in Queens. The gun, sources said, was stolen from South Carolina.
