From Glens Falls to Saratoga Springs and Amsterdam to the Vermont border, Capital Region-area volunteers are making cleanup a priority this Earth Day weekend. The Pine Bush Preserve was among the focal points.Â
Saratoga Springs is calling on its citizens to help pick up garbage and litter from the front of their homes and the right of way areas. A communityÂ
cleanup event will be held in Congress Park from noon to 2 p.m.Â

2 to 4 p.m., April 30, outside 1 Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park Center. The Town of Clifton Park Arbor Day celebration will include tree seedling giveaways, activities and information and a ceremonial tree planting at 3:30 p.m. followed by the reading of the annual Arbor Day proclamation.
Underground Railroad Education Center at the Stephen and Harriet Myers Historic Site plans a grounds cleanup noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at 194 Livingston Avenue in Albany. The public is invited to volunteer to help.Â
