STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Twelve FDNY units and 60 firefighters responded early Sunday morning to a fire at a home in Great Kills.
The fire, reported at approximately 1:02 a.m. in a private residence located at 371 Sycamore St., was placed under control by 2:12 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.
“There were four civilian patients, but all were treated on scene and refused transport to the hospital,” the spokesman said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, the spokesman went on to say.
