The New York Yankees made a couple of roster moves ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Guardians.
Outfielder Harrison Bader was reinstated from the injured list, and outfielder Franchy Cordero was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to make room on the active roster.
Bader missed the first month of the season with a left oblique strain that he sustained during spring training.
The Yankees acquired Bader in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals at last year’s trade deadline. The 28-year-old hit .217/.245/.283 with nine RBI in 14 regular season games with New York. He hit five home runs and drove in six runs in nine postseason games.
