Trooper charged a 39-year-old man with allegedly possessing and promoting child pornography on Friday

BETHLEHEM – A 39-year-old man faces child pornography charges after State Police investigators from an internet crime unit searched a home last week on Gardner Terrace.
The man was taken into custody and electronic equipment was taken from the home Thursday morning.
Police announced the arrest on Friday, saying they also searched a home in Albany.
The man was charged with felony counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child and possession of a sexual performance of a child.
Troopers said the investigation stemmed from a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Police remained at the scene for more than an hour Thursday morning. Town police were involved in the investigation too.
The person was taken into custody for questioning at around 9 a.m.
The home is on a small street in the Delmar section of town.
