The Chelsea subway slasher who attacked a man during a robbery attempt early Sunday morning remains at large, police reported.

On Sunday night, the NYPD released video footage of the culprit behind the cutting assault, which occurred at about 1:20 a.m. on May 7 inside the 23rd Street station on the 1 line, below 7th Avenue.

According to law enforcement sources, the perpetrator approached the victim, a 42-year-old man, on the Downtown-bound platform and demanded his wallet. Seconds later, cops said, he slugged the victim in the face, knocking him to the floor.

Thatโ€™s when, police said, the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victimโ€™s hand. He then fled from the station to parts unknown, authorities said.

The incident was reported to the 10th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 2. EMS rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

As shown in the security video, the suspect is a man with a medium complexion who wore a long green jacket, brown boots and a black baseball cap.
