One man injured in Ocean Hill fire, near deadly morning blaze

After a tragic Tuesday morning fire left two dead and four injured in East New York, firefighters were again on the scene of a different blaze in nearby Ocean Hill.ย 

The inferno broke out at around 1:40 p.m. at a two-story private residence at 2365 Pacific St., and sent several FDNY members scrambling.ย 

Smoke eaters were met with intense smoke and high heat as they used two hoses to knock down the main body of the fire, and a search of the residence led them to find a semi-conscious man injured in the chaos.ย

Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital for treatment, and no one else was reported injured in the afternoon fire.ย 

The fire was placed under control at 2:45 p.m., according to the FDNY.ย 

Tuesday afternoonโ€™s blaze came after a different fire at 136 Fountain Ave. that same morning, which killed a mother and her 17-year-old child, while leaving four others injured.ย 

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of both fires.ย
