Utica, N.Y. — A 50-year-old Utica man was arrested for stabbing another man in the face with a pitchfork, police said.
At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday police arrived on the 1100 block of Park Avenue for a person who had been assaulted, according to a news release from the Utica Police Department.
A man told police he had been stabbed in the face with a pitchfork after arguing with someone, police said. The pitchfork was a farm-type pitchfork, said Lt. Michael Curley, a spokesperson for the Utica Police.
The man had cuts and puncture wounds to the face, police said. He received treatment and had minor injuries, Curley said.
Jamal Williams, 50, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree attempted assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree menacing, police said.
