A landfill transfer station in Steuben County is closed.
And it appears as though it will remain that way until further notice.
Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose told WETM-TV that the landfill was closed due to a fire at the transfer station.
The fire happened over the holiday weekend on Saturday, May 27.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
