BETHLEHEM — A pick-up truck crashed on Route 32 near Elsmere Avenue Monday after the motorist allegedly failed to stop for authorities at a location at least a few miles south in the town of Coeymans.
Bethlehem police confirmed an incident happened where a suspect had fled in a vehicle from Coeymans police and Albany County Sheriff’s deputies.
Photos from the scene shows a truck with heavy front-end damage.
WNYT, which first reported on the chase, said the truck was stopped with spikes placed in the road. The station reported the suspect attempted to flee on foot after the crash, but was taken into custody.
Bethlehem police referred further details to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, which couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Monday night.
