Brooklyn man stabs fiancée to death over accusations of cheating

A Brooklyn man accused his fiancée of cheating on him — and then stabbed her to death with a kitchen knife inside their Coney Island home early Tuesday, police said.

The fight over suspected infidelity sparked off inside the couple’s house on W. 20th St. near Mermaid Ave. about 1:25 a.m., cops said.

As the quarrel escalated, the suspect stabbed his 44-year-old fiancée in the neck and torso.

Medics rushed her from the house’s first-floor hallway to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn but she could not be saved. Her name was not immediately released.

Her 50-year-old fiancé was taken into custody and police recovered the murder weapon, a large kitchen knife. Charges against him were pending

Last June, the fiancé was arrested on accusations of choking the victim. The disposition of that case was not immediately clear Tuesday.
