Travis Horne is a car connoisseur. While today he’s the general manager of Mohawk Chevrolet, his love of cars started as a kid with a collection of Hot Wheels. He eventually became an expert in rare automotive collections. Knowing he felt at home around cars, he began working as a washer and auto technician. From there, he moved on to parts management and later finance and sales at Mohawk Honda in 2015.
For Horne, it’s not just about the car. It’s the conversations they start. His passion has led him to a career in the automotive industry and within the Mohawk Auto Group. Horne said he is drawn to the family-like culture of the company. Hearing from happy employees or customers is a sign of success, he said.
During his four years at Mohawk Chevrolet, Travis has become a central part of the dealership’s customer service and growing network of community partnerships. Horne is an advocate for community involvement and has participated in events like the American Heart Association’s Go Red campaign.
