RUSSELL — Edwards-Knox Central school has named Marin McIntosh as its valedictorian and Kayleigh Allen as its salutatorian for the Class of 2023.
Marin McIntosh, the daughter of Linden and Merry McIntosh, attained an overall grade point average of 96.25.
Marin’s pursuit of academic excellence culminates in her graduation with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors, augmented by the distinction of Mastery in Science.
Marin’s academic journey has been marked by remarkable achievements, having successfully completed 10 college credit-bearing courses. Her commitment to scholastic brilliance has been acknowledged through a myriad of distinguished accolades, including the esteemed Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Honor Roll awards. Notably, she has also been honored with the Academic All-Star Award, the RIT Creativity and Innovation Medal & Scholarship, the Russell Sage Award, the Scholastic Silver Key Award, the St. Bonaventure Bonnie Scholar & Reilly Scholar Awards, and the University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Science Award.
Beyond her exceptional academic aptitude, Marin’s character shines through her eagerness to embrace feedback and her ceaseless pursuit of personal growth as both a learner and a leader. This invaluable trait will undoubtedly continue to propel her towards success in college and beyond.
