Motorcyclist dies in crash into pillar near his Bronx home

A Bronx man died after crashing his motorcycle into a pillar just down the block from his home, police said Sunday.

Timothy Lopez, 33, was zipping south on White Plains Road in Williamsbridge on a 2017 Honda CB300 when he slammed into a pillar at E. 217th St. supporting the elevated subway tracks above about 11:10 p.m. Friday, cops said.

The impact threw him from his motorcycle and onto the pavement.

Medics rushed him unconscious with head trauma to Jacobi Medical Center but he couldnโ€™t be saved.

Lopez was just down the block from his home when he crashed.
