SCHENECTADY – A person was treated for life-threatening injuries Monday after being hit by a vehicle in front of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office, police said.
The 7:48 p.m. incident took place on Veeder Avenue. Police said the pedestrian was taken to Albany Medical Center.
Veeder Avenue was closed between Albany and Smith streets while police investigated the crash.
So far, there is no word on the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian.
Police have released few details about the pedestrian and it was unclear if the victim was a man or a woman.
