North Country This Week
St. Lawrence County seniors will receive their diplomas this weekend in ceremonies across the North Country.
Below are dates, times, locations, and known speakers for graduation ceremonies at local school districts.
Potsdam Central School
Potsdam Central will host their 2023 graduation Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m. at SUNY Potsdam in Hosmer Hall.
No speakers have been announced so far.
The 2023 class leaders include Lauryn Bigwarfe, Aiden DiMarco, Caroline Ettinger-DeLong, Ngoc Huynh, Madison LaPointe, Jane Moosbrugger, Halle Varney, Evan Wolfe-Kedar, Emma Brosell, Rose Hoover, Claire McFarland, Peyton Sheehan, James Sullivan, Kyan Villegas-DuFault, Nick Yang, Maggie Akin, Cassidy Fowler, Andrew Hinman, Connor O’Geen. Riya Patel, Luis Rodriguez, Grace Theodore, and Ezra Williams.
Canton Central School
The Golden Bears of Canton Central will walk the stage on graduation day Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m. at SUNY Canton’s Roo House.
Speeches will be made by Madison Brandy, Kayla Larrabee and Peyton Taylor-speech.
Grace Davis and Maria Tartaglia- will be singing together and performing two different songs.
The class leaders for 2023 at Canton Central are Hadley Alguire, Pohung Cheng, Lindsey Filiatrault, Isabella Gustafson, Kayla Larrabee, Katharine Metcalf, Josephine Schonberg, Gabriella Schuckers, Gabriella Taylor, and Peyton Taylor.
Ogdensburg City School
Graduation at Ogdensburg City School seniors takes place Saturday, June 24 at noon in the Edgar A. Newell, II Memorial Golden Dome.
The district valedictorian is Jorja Williams and the salutatorian is Mikaela Bova.
Ceremony speakers will be Valedictorian Jorja Williams, Salutatorian Mikaela Bova, and Class President Jaedyn Awan.
