For the first time since the start of the 2023 season, we are expected to hear from New York Mets owner Steve Cohen sometime on Wednesday and there will be tons of questions about the teamโs horrific first half of the season.
Cohen made the press conference announcement on Twitter before Tuesdayโs contest against the Milwaukee Brewers.
He also wrote, โYou will get it from me straight.โ
The Mets, who have the highest payroll in baseball, have gone 35-43 over the first 78 games, including losses in 16 of the last 21 contests. They trail the first-place Atlanta Braves by 16 games in the National League East and sit 8 1/2 games back from the Los Angeles Dodgers for the third wild card spot.
