Vanna White ‘lawyers up’ as Ryan Seacrest is named Pat Sajak’s replacement on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Show her the money!

Vanna White, the longtime “Wheel of Fortune” letter-turner, has allegedly lawyered up and is negotiating her contract for the 2023-2024 season, according to Puck News, who reports the co-host hasn’t had a pay increase in 18 years. Now that host Pat Sajak, 76, is leaving, she is seeking more money.

According to the outlet, the longtime host is set to retire at the end of the upcoming Season 41. Puck also reports that White, 66, makes $3 million per season, with no raises — only bonuses — during that time.

It’s rumored White has hired Bryan Freedman, a high-powered entertainment litigator whose clients have included Tucker Carlson, Chris Cuomo and fired “Jeopardy!” host and TV producer Mike Richards.

In 2016, Forbes reported that Sajak raked in $15 million per year. Although Sajak has held a more prominent role on “Wheel of Furtune,” White has become equally synonymous with the show.

According to Puck, White spends the same time — maybe more, due to hair and makeup — on set as Sajak and has become part of the look and feel of “Wheel of Fortune.”

SAJAK’S ANNOUNCEMENT TO RETIRE

Sajak tweeted on June 26 that the upcoming season of the popular NBC game show will be his last. He began hosting in 1981. White joined the show in 1982.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he said. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”
