Firefighters called to hazmat situation in Seneca County

First responders were called to a hazmat situation in Seneca County on Wednesday.

The call came in for Clyde firefighters during the late-afternoon hours, according to the Cayuga Seneca Fire Wire.

The incident, as they reported, took place on Route 89 near 5&20.

A tractor blew a hydraulic line, resulting in a significant spill.

First responders indicated that the spill was between 30 and 35 gallons.

The area was cleaned up a short time later.
