Independence Day celebrations start before the Fourth of July holiday

Independence Day is Tuesday, July 4, but the celebrations will be going on over the next couple of days across the region. Celebrate the Fourth of July with these fireworks shows and other events happening on and around the holiday in the Capital Region.ย 

Six Flags Great Escape, 89 Six Flags Drive,ย Queensbury. 9 p.m. Sunday-Tuesday.ย Fireworks are included for one-day ticket holders, pass holders and members. https://www.sixflags.com/greatescape.

Sunday, July 2

Saratoga Lake Fireworks Display 2023, Brownโ€™s Beach, 511 State Route 9P, Saratoga Springs. 9:15 p.m. The town of Stillwaterโ€™s annual fireworks display. Parking is limited and starts at $5 per car.ย 

Monday, July 3

Independence Dayย Fest, Riverlink Park, Amsterdam. 5 to 9:30 p.m. Sponsored byย DANVANN. Features food trucks, the cityโ€™s X-Squad Water Team Show, Albany Symphony Orchestra and fireworks over the Erie Canal. https://amsterdamny.gov.

Glens Falls Symphony Summer Pops Concert & Fireworks, at COOL Insuring Arena on Monday, July 3rd, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert location was changed. But fireworks will still be held at Crandall Park, 598 Glen St., Glens Falls. Event isย free and open to all. The public is invited to come early, set up blankets and chairs, and enjoy food and beverages from a variety of vendors. The concert will conclude with a display of fireworks at dusk, set to John Williams’ โ€œSummon the Heroes.โ€ย 

July 4 Fireworks at Washington County Fair, 392 Old Schuylerville Road, Greenwich. 4 p.m.; fireworks at dusk.

Schenectady Countyโ€™s 4th on the 3rd Independence Day Celebration,ย Mabee Farm Historic Site, 1100 Main St., Rotterdam Junction. 5 to 9 p.m. Bring a blanket for the lawn and enjoy live music and a fireworks show over the Mohawk River.ย
