A man was shot in the face and killed in Manhattan early Wednesday by a gunman who got away on a scooter, police said.
The shooting happened about 1:45 a.m. on Vermilyea Ave. near W. 204th St. in Inwood.
Medics rushed the 30-year-old victim to Harlem Hospital but he could not be saved.
Police described the shooter as a dark-skinned heavyset man dressed all in black, except for a blue strip on his shirt.
A single shell casing was recovered at the scene, police said.
