MASSENA — Massena Central honored several retirees recently with over 200 staff members in attendance for an ice cream social event in the high school cafeteria.

Superintendent Patrick Brady and MCS administrators Alan Oliver, Kristin Colarusso Martin, Duane Richards, Darin Jock, and Nicole Terminelli provided remarks about each of the retirees.

Below is a list of the retirees, their position and years of service:

• Patty Derouchie, mathematics teacher, 21 years

• Beth Elsner, algebra teacher/mathematics department chair, 24 years

• Jessica Ford, high school english teacher, 26 years

• Steve Robert, technology teacher, 30 years

• Darcie Fregoe, sixth grade science & social studies teacher, 33 years

• Carol Gonthier, elementary art teacher, 17 years

• Barb LaTrace, bus monitor/cafeteria monitor, 11 years

• Cindy Deshaies, bus driver, 18 years

• Francine Harriman bus monitor, 10 years

• Judy Jackson, senior food service manager, 13 years

• Christine Phillips, cook manager, 26 years

• Perry Hayden, custodian, 20 years

• Carol Love, shipping & receiving clerk, 38 years

• Tim Martin, groundsperson, 19 years

• Duane Richards, elementary principal, 21 years

• Patrick Brady, superintendent of schools, 8 years as superintendent; 13 total years.
