Gibby’s Diner, which closed in December 2021 after being run by the same family for 69 years, reopened in late May. The husband-and-wife new owners, Jim Slingerland and Tiffany Angelides-Slingerland, are making their first venture as proprietors, though Angelides-Slingerland is a veteran waitress.
In addition to keeping the name, the couple have continued a classic diner menu, including about 25 breakfast items (Gibby’s beloved cinnamon buns among them) and 40 for lunch. Dinner may be offered in the future, the owners said. Daily specials are posted on Gibby’s Facebook page.
