STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — With school officially in the rear-view, 23 of the Island’s best youth golfers took part in the 46th annual North Central Kiwanis Club Junior Golf Tournament Wednesday and Thursday at Silver Lake, braving the sweltering heat and humidity.
With three-time champion, Colin Elias no longer in the field, it was Tottenville senior Michael Hui taking home top honors in the Junior Division, shooting a 155 (77, 78) over the two days, besting Soren Andersen (159; 80, 79) and Matthew Mistretta (162; 82, 80).
