ALBANY — City police expect they’ll have developments to report soon in one of the city’s four most recent homicides.
Police Chief Eric Hawkins told the Common Council that he hopes to have an announcement in the investigation into the death of Ben Rowe, “fairly soon.”
Hawkins did not go into further detail, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation. However, he revealed some details about other ongoing homicide investigations in the city. Hawkins briefed the council on Thursday.

He reiterated that many of the homicides involved people in a familial or domestic relationship. Hawkins said, including the death of Eduardo Montes, 26, who was shot and killed July 4 on Second Street.
