Every year, the editors in the syracuse.com | Post-Standard newsroom enter our best work in several different contests. The New York News Publishers Association is one of the tougher competitions because it only gives out one award in each category by market size. Iโm proud to say this year 22 of our journalists won 13 different awards, the most of any newsroom across the state.

Scott Trimble that won the award for โDistinguished Online Photo Gallery.โ Scott had the creative idea to pose Central New Yorkโs top high school basketball players in front of the new downtown mural that honors the areaโs rich basketball history.
