In a significant community milestone, Ontario County’s Phelps Town Hall has welcomed back its historic clock tower. On Friday, construction crews employed a crane to position the newly refurbished tower onto the Town Hall’s roof.
The clock tower’s restoration was necessitated following a complete roof replacement last year.
Community support played a critical role in preserving the local landmark, according to local leaders
The restoration, which cost nearly $150,000, was partially funded by preservation organizations. Their contributions ensured that the Phelps community could retain and celebrate this significant piece of local history.
