The Town of Fallsburg celebrates success of the June monthly pop-up food pantry

FALLSBURG- The town of Fallsburg Supervisor, Kathy Rappaport, in collaboration with the Hudson Valley Food Bank, The Greater ARC, River Valley Estates, and Fidelis Care, is delighted to announce the remarkable success of the inaugural monthly Pop-Up Food Pantry.ย  This community-driven initiative has made a significant impact by providing essential food supplies to over 100 individuals which is an
increase of 30 individuals who needed help that are facing food insecurity in our town this past Tuesday June 27, 2023.

The Pop-Up Food Pantry, which was launched on May 30, 2023, aimed to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in Fallsburg and ensure that no member of our community goes hungry.ย  Through the collaborative efforts of the town administration, the Hudson Valley Food Bank, the Greater ARC Hudson Valley, River Valley Estates, and Fidelis Care, this innovative program has surpassed all expectations, reaching, and serving a considerable number of individuals and families in need.

Supervisor Kathy Rappaport expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the community.ย  โ€œWe are incredibly grateful to our partners, the Hudson Valley Food Bank, The Greater ARC, River Valley Estates, and Fidelis Care, for their collaboration and unwavering commitment to fighting food insecurity.ย  Together, we have made a significant difference in the lives of over 100 individuals and families who rely on our support.ย  This initiative reflects the true spirit of community and compassion that exists within the Town of Fallsburg,โ€ said Rappaport.
