A man was hospitalized after he was jumped by a group of people who repeatedly stabbed him, police said Thursday.
The 19-year-old victim was leaving a residential building near the corner of 80th St. and Myrtle Ave. in Glendale on Wednesday when five people bum rushed him around 8:30 p.m., according to cops.
The crew stabbed and punched him multiple times until his friend, also 19, intervened and tried to grab the knife from one of the attackers.
The friend cut his finger as he attempted to get hold of the blade, and the mob took off.
Medics took the stabbed man to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
Police were still investigating the motive on Thursday night.
Cops are looking for the violent group and are asking the publicโs help in locating them.
