Girl, 17, wounded by stray bullet when gunman fires at Bronx crowd

A 17-year-old girl was wounded by a stray bullet when a gunman fired into a crowd at a Bronx park, police said Tuesday.

The victim was standing with a group of people on the south end of Grant Park near E. 169th St. and Grant Ave. when the gunman fired a single shot into the crowd about 10 p.m. Monday, cops said.

The girl was struck in the chest by the bullet as everyone scattered, cops said.

Medics found her a block away on Morris Ave. and rushed her to Lincoln Hospital. She is expected to survive.

The gunman wasnโ€™t aiming at the teen when he opened fire, a police source said.

Cops took two people into custody at the scene. Charges against them were pending.
