Could Dalvin Cook be headed to the Jets?
The free agent running back’s agent, Zac Hiller, has fueled the buzz. Cook has been linked to the Jets since the Vikings released him last month.

Paul Andrew Esden interviewed Hiller on his podcast, “The Manchild Show w/ Boy Green,” last week and asked him about a recent report from NBC Sports’ Mike Florio that the Jets were “gaining momentum” in their pursuit of Cook.
“I think the Jets have a great thing going.” said Hiller. “They’re all in. They want to win a Super Bowl. I think they want to bring a Super Bowl to New York City. They brought in an incredible, first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback … [Rodgers] is a complete franchise city-changing player and that’s somebody that you absolutely want to play with at some point in your career, one hundred percent.”
According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Cook is looking for a deal of around $10 million.
The Jets may be uninterested in adding a running back considering Breece Hall is coming back from an ACL injury, and they picked up RB Israel Abanikanda out of Pitt in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Vikings saved $9 million in cap space by releasing Cook, which further highlights the way the position has changed from a financial standpoint. Cook was $10.4 million in base salary this season, $11.9 million in 2024 and $12.9 million in 2025, according to Spotrac.
Cook has also been linked to the Miami Dolphins, and a contract was reportedly on the table. ESPN’s Jeff Darlington recently reported that the four-time Pro Bowler is still considering his options.
