South Shore scored early and often and received a combined two-hitter from Andrew Trinidad and Jayce Anderson as it rolled to a 14-0 Little League Section 3 South 11s All-Star Baseball victory over visiting Pelham Tuesday at Joseph Anthony Verdino Field of Dreams Stadium in Tottenville.
The District 24 champions, who finished with 13 hits behind Dean Scarangello (2 for 3, 2B, run, three RBI), Peter Giaccio (2 for 3, 2B, two runs) and Trinidad (2 for 2, 2B, RBI, run), advances to the winners’ bracket final of the four-team tournament. SSLL will look to earn a spot in the championship round when it meets Inwood — a 14-13 winner over Throgs Neck — on Wednesday at Con Edison Field in Manhattan (5:30).
