TROY — The Troy Pig Out barbecue competition and festival, a staple of summer celebrations in the city, will return Sunday for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began three years ago.
The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m.
This year’s event takes place throughout downtown Troy. Patrons can walk through participating restaurants and purchase $4 samples of barbecue food.
Non-downtown restaurants and local vendors can be found throughout Monument Square and on Broadway Avenue.

- Muddaddy Flats Quesadillary at 49 3rd St.
- Bard & Baker: Board Game Cafe at 501 Broadway Ave.

- Bootlegger’s Bar & Grill at 200 Broadway Ave.
- Dotty’s BBQ @ 518 Craft at 200 Broadway Ave.
