Troy Pig Out back for first time since COVID-19 pandemic

Patrons can walk through participating restaurants and purchase $4 samples of barbecue options. 


TROY — The Troy Pig Out barbecue competition and festival, a staple of summer celebrations in the city, will return Sunday for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began three years ago.

The event will be held from noon to  5 p.m. 

This year’s event takes place throughout downtown Troy. Patrons can walk through participating restaurants and purchase $4 samples of barbecue food. 

Non-downtown restaurants and local vendors can be found throughout Monument Square and on Broadway Avenue. 

Participating businesses include:

  • Tatu Tacos & Tequila at 462 Broadway Ave.
  • Mi Casa at 72 Congress St. 
  • Muddaddy Flats Quesadillary at 49 3rd St.
  • Bard & Baker: Board Game Cafe at 501 Broadway Ave.
  • McAddy’s Pub at 452 Broadway Ave.
  • Bootlegger’s Bar & Grill at 200 Broadway Ave.
  • Dotty’s BBQ @ 518 Craft at 200 Broadway Ave.
  • Little Pecks at 211 Broadway Ave.
  • The Mac Factor at Monument Square
  • Bacchus Wood-Fired at 33 2nd St.
  • Slidin’ Dirty at 9 1st St.
